1. What is included in the price of your green fees? The green fee includes: unlimited practice balls before and after your round of golf, a shared golf car, and a yardage guide.
2. Is this a resort course?
Yes, The Westin Mission Hills Resort is a resort facility based in Rancho Mirage at the 512 room Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa. We have two golf courses that are available for public guests as well as those who stay in our resort. 3. How far in advance can tee times be made? Please utilize the following booking windows to suit your needs. Advance reservations are recommended. Booking windows are as follows and a credit card is required to guarantee a reservation: Hotel Guests: 90 days in advance
Public Guests: 30 days in advance Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa Villa Owners: 14 days in advance Rancho Mirage Golf Club Cardholders: 4 days in advance 4. Do you offer any type of memberships? No, as a public golf course we do not have a membership program.
We offer the Troon Golf Card as our frequent player program which provides the card holder and guest(s) with green fees that are in excess off 50% off the regular rate at the Pete Dye and Gary Player courses as well as other Troon Golf-managed facilities in the area and nationwide. If you are a full time resident of Rancho Mirage, you can purchase a city club card at the Rancho Mirage City Hall that allows residents to play both of our courses at a reduced rate.
5. When were both courses built? The Pete Dye Resort Course opened in 1987.
The Gary Player Signature golf course opened in 1991.
6. How long does it take to play each course? Generally it takes about 4 hours and 20 minutes to play either course. 7. What is your dress code? Proper attire is required to play or practice at the Westin Mission Hills Resort. For men, this means a collared shirt with Bermuda-length shorts or slacks. For women, a collared shirt or golf blouse with medium length shorts, skirt, or slacks is acceptable. Denim of any kind, t-shirts, and sweat clothes are prohibited. We are also recommend soft-spikes for all golfers. 8. Which course is tougher, the Pete Dye or Gary Player? Opinions differ, but the Pete Dye does present more of a visual intimidation factor where as the Gary Player course is more along the lines of what you see is what you get. From an overall length factor the Gary Player course is longer at 7,062 yards playing to a Par 72, the Pete Dye is a Par 70 playing to 6,706 yards. 9. Ladies' Jade: 68.0/118 10. Do you have a walking policy? We do allow walking on both of the golf courses here at the resort. Since our green fees do include a shared golf car the majority of our guests here choose to ride in a golf car.
